For Immediate Release - Napa Valley Restaurant Symposium

Restaurant professionals from around the Bay Area are expected to attend the First Napa Valley Restaurant Symposium, Tuesday, February 10, 2004. The event will be held from 8 am to 3 pm at Copia, 500 First Street, Napa. This is the first time area restaurant professionals can receive this valuable information without attending a conference in a metropolitan area.

Gene Burns, nationally syndicated radio talk-show personality and host of KGO Radio’s Dining Around, will deliver the keynote address. Break out sessions will include Operations: “How to Lower Costs and Increase Profits” conducted by Guy Fieri, the C.O.O. of Johnny Garlic’s Inc.; Kitchen I.Q.: “Do You Run a Smart Kitchen?” by founding partner of World Wrapps Inc., Aaron Noveshen; and Marketing: “Sustaining Your Competitive Advantage,” by the nationally recognized financial and management consultant Bill Main.

Panel Discussions on “Teaming with the Wine Industry for Fun and Profit” and “Creating the Hype about Your Business” will round out the day. Panelists include Burke Owens, Associate Curator of Wine at COPIA and GraceAnn Walden, weekly “Inside Scoop” columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle. The Napa Register’s own Pierce Carson will lead the “Creating Hype about Your Business” panel.

Cost is $99, which, for a limited time, covers two attendees from the same company. Chefs, Managers and Supervisors for all restaurant operations will all learn tips from leading restaurateurs. For further information or to register on-line go to: www.restaurantsofnapavalley.com
