For Immediate Release - Napa Valley Restaurant SymposiumRestaurant professionals from around the Bay Area are expected to attend the
First Napa Valley Restaurant Symposium, Tuesday, February 10, 2004. The event
will be held from 8 am to 3 pm at Copia, 500 First Street, Napa. This is the first
time area restaurant professionals can receive this valuable information without
attending a conference in a metropolitan area.
Gene Burns, nationally syndicated radio talk-show personality and host of KGO
Radio’s Dining Around, will deliver the keynote address. Break out sessions will
include Operations: “How to Lower Costs and Increase Profits” conducted by Guy
Fieri, the C.O.O. of Johnny Garlic’s Inc.; Kitchen I.Q.: “Do You Run a Smart Kitchen?”
by founding partner of World Wrapps Inc., Aaron Noveshen; and Marketing: “Sustaining
Your Competitive Advantage,” by the nationally recognized financial and management
consultant Bill Main.
Panel Discussions on “Teaming with the Wine Industry for Fun and Profit” and
“Creating the Hype about Your Business” will round out the day. Panelists include
Burke Owens, Associate Curator of Wine at COPIA and GraceAnn Walden, weekly “Inside
Scoop” columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle. The Napa Register’s own Pierce
Carson will lead the “Creating Hype about Your Business” panel.
Cost is $99, which, for a limited time, covers two attendees from the same company.
